About Us

Founded in 1984, the Toronto Association of Acting Studios (TAAS) is an association of independent studios offering a wide variety of high-quality approaches to the craft of acting and related theatrical skills. We welcome young people curious about the world of theatre and the seasoned professional interested in developing new skills or rekindling old ones. Each member studio provides quality advice to the prospective student and works on a cooperative basis to heighten the public’s awareness of the high standards of training we provide. As TAAS members, we want to assist everyone who is interested in theatre, film and related arts to make an informed choice about where to study. TAAS has over 31 member studios in and around the Greater Toronto Area, and is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
